BOOK 1: THREE WISHES: A True Story of Good Friends, Crushing Heartbreak, and Astonishing Luck on Our Way to Love and Motherhood (http://www NULL.amazon NULL.com/Three-Wishes-Heartbreak-Astonishing-Motherhood/dp/0316079065), by Carey Goldberg, Pamela Ferdinand, and Beth Jones
THREE WISHES is an honest account of three friends who each contemplated single motherhood—an often gripping tale full of surprising highs and lows on the road to lasting relationships and motherhood after 40.
Starting with Carey, who was the first to take the brave step of choosing a sperm donor, a chain of events began that dramatically changed the lives of each. As the “magic” vial was passed to each friend—either through “fate” or happenstance—they found marriage and motherhood.
With more women feeling compelled to face the choice of single motherhood as they approach midlife, their story is a sign of the times, and bound to resonate in the hearts of our growing multitude.
From the looming biological clock to tragedy and then joy, the journey of these three women is a revealing glimpse into modern motherhood for women in their 40’s.

Exciting contest, Angel! Three Wishes is a fantasic book, and any 40+ women considering DE will want to read it.
Likewise, This Isn’t What I Expected, is timely and informative. 40+ women are not immune to postpartum Depression, the book will give them key information to help them navigate this new chapter in their life.
I would love the book on Three Wishes, please!
oh, book one sounds like it would touch my heart the most, since I started out as a single mum. I also feel that to be a single mum who really wants her baby is no sin. The world needs more children who are wanted in such a way.
These both sound like great books! I read This Isn’t What I Expected a long time ago during my first CBE certification. It would be great to have a copy for my lending library for my classes!
Would love to have an of the 2 books being offered. But Three Wishes would be great!
Thanks for the giveaway!
I would love to read Three Wishes, because I am still in shock that after so many years of longing and wishing and trying to figure out how to change my life and fulfill my vision of a family that I was so lonely for, I now have it! I never expected, nor even thought it was really possible to meet a wonderful mate at age 45 and have a wonderful baby at age 49. Except a little, tenacious part of me was not going to stop until it happened. I, too was finally on a track to be a single mom when the guy appeared.
I would be so happy to have a copy of This Isn’t What I Expected because I can relate completely to that topic. I gave birth to my first child at the age of 44. I had no idea I would have a preemie who would be in the nicu for a month, go home and a month later almost lost her to Influenza A. Then she had a developmental delay. Problems with my relationship ensued, lonliness and isolation followed and of course, I never expected any of this let alone PPD…..and did I mention my daughter had heart surgery too! Well it took me a few years to finally break free from PPD. Sometimes I think back on the scary and painful experiences of my early motherhood and feel so blessed that we have all made it through the rain. I am happier now than I have ever been in my life and enjoying my fantastic journey as a Flower Power Mom.
Love either. One would relate to how I waited. Two with feelings I have now! Thanks
